Every day we interact whit the other people, but we never ask how much influence we have in the other person. We usually adjust to the hierarchical orders that are presented to us, but nevertheless, we know when the others adjust to you. And that is a reality. In my opinion we never can get away of the power relations. Why I think this ? It is simple. To explain this I am using a example.
When you are a child, and you look one adult, you unconsciously submit to a hierarchy related to age. An this is normal. Because the adult has more knowledge and life experience, and unconsciously transmits this through the way they communicate. the power relations, isn´t only that you can identify in the work, or in the street when you look a police, the power relation too are when you transmit knowledge, to the other person and with it a specific way of thinking. You influence with your speech and actions alot of people, and when you realized this you are unconsciously generated a power relation order.
Alot of intellectuals were reference for this topic. One of these, Michael Foucault, in relation to this it refers to the concept of device. Device is a interlocutor of the power relation, and it generates subjects. For example, a tourniquet of the bus is a device, and it generates tho types of subjects. On the one hand, there is the subject that pays the bus, and go through. On the other hand, there is the subject that avoids the tourniquet and go through. These two types of subjects are generated by the tourniquet.
The device are everywhere, are in your family, in the college, in the street, etc. Even we transform into them when we transmit something. For these reasons I consider it impossible to escape from power relations.
